We would like to welcome our new bassist Dave Braumberger to the Weekend family. Randie Van Gorp has decided to leave the band in order to persue other interests. We wish our mascara-clad friend all the best and a fond farewell.

Our brand new album "Beatbox My Heartbeat" hit the streets tuesday and the wait is over!
Things have been very busy around Weekend headquarters. We have two video shoots coming up, a few more shows, and lots of surprises in the works.

To anybody who has been touched by the recent natural disasters in Southeast Asia, in particular to those living in Sumatra and Aceh. Having recently toured Sumatra, it is difficult to put into words the panic and grief we feel not knowing if the beautiful people we met are safe from harm.
To everyone in Padang and Pekanbaru, your love and kindness changed our lives, and made us better people. We will work hard to share the peace and love you have given us with the rest of the world.
Recorded at Mushroom Studios in Vancouver with John Wozniak (Marcy Playground), and mixed by Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, Marilyn Manson...), the Weekend's Beatbox my Heartbeat is now in the final stages of production and is thisclose to being in your waiting hands.
Featuring 11 new songs, the record is full of loud guitars, sweeping (sometimes haunting) keyboard melodies, dance inducing beats, and topped off with lyrics influenced by the ways of the world and the rules of the heart. We here at Camp Weekend are all in agreement that it's the best we've offered you to date... and our level of excitement about it is off the charts.
We just recently signed with Outside / Teenage USA in Canada and are now looking at a release date of January 25th, with international release dates to follow. Who knows, we might even be tempted to put a couple tracks up on the site until then. THAT's how excited we are. Bribes (tim-tams, sake) can be sent to us at the Teenage USA office.
IN OTHER NEWS:
On November 23rd The Weekend will be flying across the sea yet again, this time to exotic (and tropical!!) Indonesia.
We'll be performing as part of Soundrenaline 2004, the biggest festival in the country. This could quite possibly be the biggest adventure we've had yet.
